Simply Blue Energy is a Cork-based renewable energy developer working across floating offshore wind and fixed-bottom projects in Ireland, the UK, Spain, Italy, the US and Canada.

In 2025, Kansai Electric Power in Japan signed a Share Subscription Agreement with Simply Blue Energy OSW Ltd., Simply Blue Group’s offshore wind development arm. It marked a major moment for the company, with Kansai becoming the majority shareholder and signalling a new stage of growth.

With this new strategic direction, along with welcoming new people into the business, the new site needed to reflect a sharper focus on offshore wind, international growth and long-term renewable energy development.

Working closely with the Simply Blue Energy marketing team, we created a new website and corporate video to support this next chapter. The aim was to communicate a clear, confident narrative for investors, government stakeholders, energy partners and coastal communities across multiple markets.

The Challenge

Simply Blue’s existing website was built around their previous positioning, the blue economy. Whereas now, their focus is on growing their offshore wind business. In order to communicate their new positioning, the new website needed to communicate a completely new narrative to various audiences: investors, government stakeholders, energy partners, and coastal communities across multiple countries.

The challenge was to create a website that felt clear, current and commercially mature, without losing the company’s personality.

Our Approach

We rebuilt the website around the business Simply Blue Energy is today: an offshore wind developer with international reach, strong sector experience and a clear role in the renewable energy transition.

The creative direction was shaped by the company’s values of integrity, courage, passion, responsibility and diversity. These values informed the tone, structure, design and overall feel of the site, helping to create a digital experience that felt open, credible and easy to understand.

From the first interaction, the site needed to help people quickly understand who Simply Blue Energy is, what they do and why their work matters.

Design Thinking

We started from the ground up, with a new structure, new design, new copy and new imagery. The website was designed to feel open, confident and easy to navigate. A cleaner page structure gives key information more space, helping different audiences find what they need without unnecessary complexity.

A colour palette was built around blues and whites, giving the site a fresh, coastal feel while still feeling professional and corporate. Strong photography of oceans, wind infrastructure and renewable energy projects helps bring the sector to life and gives the site a stronger sense of place and purpose.

The copy was rewritten to make the business easier to understand. Working with the Simply Blue Energy marketing team, we kept the language clear and direct, avoiding technical detail where it was not needed and focusing instead on the company’s experience, ambition and direction.

End Result

The finished website gives Simply Blue Energy a stronger digital presence and a clearer platform for its next stage of growth.

It brings the company’s offshore wind focus, international experience and values together in one confident story, supported by a new corporate video that helps communicate the people, purpose and ambition behind the business.

Together, the website and video create a more mature, accessible and credible expression of Simply Blue Energy as it moves into its next chapter.
